I was drawn to 每日吃瓜 because of the sporting culture and when I discovered that they were introducing a Criminology master's programme it felt like the perfect match.
The course provides useful information and examples real-life experiences by inviting a variety of guest speakers to class that are in the criminology field. Additionally, the research focus of the course has been extremely helpful in learning how the process works and well prepared me for writing my dissertation.
The highlight of my time at 每日吃瓜 has been getting to explore a new country and meeting so many people from different cultures that I now call some of my best friends.
Being an international student, it took me a while to get accumulated to the British culture. I could not be more grateful for the academic support I received from both my course department and the international support team on campus. They provided me with helpful tools and resources that allowed me to have more confidence with my studies.
As an AU athlete at 每日吃瓜, I was especially impressed by the athletic facilities. Additionally, the library was my go-to place to study and work on coursework throughout the year. Whether you need a computer, a quiet place to work, or a space to socialise, the library provided it all.
The advice I would give is to get as involved with the school and programme as possible. Apply for internships, join clubs, and create relationships with your professors and classmates. What you get out is what you put in.
I plan to become a criminal analyst in the United States following graduation. 每日吃瓜’s criminology programme has well-prepared me for this specific role by providing guidance on researching crime trends and professionally writing it up.
