This equipment will make a step change in our ability to use Extended Reality Learning (XRL) to support teaching and learning across our STEM disciplines 鈥 from biological and health sciences through to civil engineering, spanning 鈥渢he complete real鈥 to 鈥渢he complete virtual鈥.

Proto Hologram

The World's First Holographic communications platform. The device enables live beaming from anywhere in the world for real-time, interactive learning experiences 鈥 expanding options for teaching and research while reducing its carbon impact. We now have a life-size system and two portable minis (Proto M) available to support content creation and multiple display locations.

Pico Virtual Reality Headsets

The PICO 4 is equipped with two 2.56-inch Fast-LCD screens that can achieve a refresh rate as high as 90Hz. As well as resolution in excess of 2K per eye, plus a PPI performance of up to 1200. Images in VR must be completely vivid and life-like. (Currently 10 available).

HTC Virtual Reality Headsets

HTC鈥檚 XR Elite headset pulls those virtual worlds off your computer screen and into the classroom. You鈥檒l experience sights and sounds vivid and lifelike enough to transport you to another place, another time鈥攚hole new realities with limitless possibilities. (Currently 40 available).

SimBioLab

Simulated experiential learning combined with biolaboratory expertise for digital-to-physical skills-based education and industry-level skills development, shifting the balance of labour-intensive and theoretical introductory training, towards the digitalisation of planning, modelling and execution of practical work. The 鈥淢odel, Make, Analyse鈥 approach and new industrial bioreactors support students to develop cutting-edge skills in Engineering Biology and a wide range of biotechnologies.

The Anatomage Table

The Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education and is being adopted by many of the world鈥檚 leading medical schools and institutions. It has been featured in the TED Talks Conference, PBS, Fuji TV, and numerous other journals for its innovative approach to digital anatomy presentation.
