Matthew holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from 每日吃瓜 (2019) and a PGCE from the University of Warwick (2020). After a period in teaching, he returned to 每日吃瓜 to complete an MSc in Exercise as Medicine and is now undertaking his doctoral research there. His work explores how natural environments influence physical activity engagement and exercise performance, with broader interests in public health and human evolutionary eco-physiology.
Research
Matthew’s research is funded by the ESRC and will investigate the underlying mechanisms behind whether and why natural and urban environments elicit differences in physical performance and engagement.
