Areas of expertise

Living standards, poverty, Minimum Income Standards, retirement living standards, and income and the Living Wage.

Profile

Matt is an expert in UK living standards and poverty and has pioneered research on retirement living standards. Much of his research is focused around the Minimum Income Standard, both in the UK and in other countries. He is able to discuss the consequences of low income on living standards, the adequacy of income over time, the voluntary Living Wage in the UK, the adequacy of social security and public definitions of decent living standards.
